Like I did when it was our dear Lydia's turn, 

I was at my nephew's wedding then, battling post-feast heartburn! 

You are still one of those lucky ones caught in a time warp,

Looking still like the giggly cute girl, with her wits pretty sharp! 

While stalking your photos I can declare though it's been a while,

That your eyes crinkle just the same when you smile!☺️

Have a wonderful day in that land that's free of the virus, 🐑

And don't forget to post cosy food and family pics for the benefit of poor us!! 🎂🍦🥯🍕

Why I forgot to write you a poem at the right time,

The nephew's wedding was the reason for the lack of rhyme!

Now this I compose for my guilt to assuage,

Pardon my memory loss, 'tis but a sign of advancing age! 

It will be a breeze for a math  whiz like you to calculate,

That I'm starting to lose my marbles at a steady rate. 

Scrolling back a few messages I know you're about to be retired,

To become full time granny to the little cutie, a job guaranteed to make one re- tired!😄
